Gardar Eide Einarsson

Gardar Eide Einarsson works often references the forces of power in society, such as the police and politicians, and the social structures that defy this power from gang culture to political and social radicals.

Using flags, found objects, graffiti and text, Einarsson’s multimedia approach doesn’t so much celebrate freedom from authority as it demonstrates the limitations of transgressive acts to provide a counterbalance to those who control the architecture of power within contemporary society.
