Douglas Gordon

Douglas Gordon’s work encompasses film, photography, installation, text and sound and explores oppositional forces such as life and death, good and evil, innocence and guilt.

Gordon’s works attempt to render the familiar unfamiliar and create a play with psychological states that draws his audience into the heart of divided states. His work is often based on a disruption of perception; by making his audience aware of their own fugitive subjectivity, he questions how we give meaning to our experience of the world of human interaction.
